Delivering A Successful Data Strategy With Strong Technical Foundations: Learnings From A Multi-Programme Approach
The Bank of England is the UK’s central bank, with a mission to ensure the monetary and financial stability of the entire country. This is a remit underpinned by the effective use of data, in turn dependent on strong technical foundations.
Earlier this year the Bank published its refreshed data and analytics (D&A) strategy. This sets out how it will make it easier for everyone at the Bank to work with and analyse data, an ambition supported by the development of a modern enterprise data platform on the cloud.
Martine Clark, Head of Data & Statistics, and Eugenia Planas, one of the Bank’s Deputy Governorship Chief Information Officers, will share their experiences so far of bringing together the Bank’s Data and Technology teams to deliver its D&A strategy and the data transformation programme that will enable that.
Join them to hear their reflections on:
Forming strong partnerships and collaborative ways of working between Technology, Data teams and the wider business
Listening to experts and having the courage to change the approach mid-way
Developing a cohesive and co-ordinated approach to delivering multiple data and technical programmes simultaneously
Using architecture-led MVP approach to guide what and how we build
